The electromechanical screw rams ALS and ALSR are alternatives to hydraulic or pneumatic actuators offering all the benefits of machine screw actuators such as precise positioning, synchronization and self-locking load holding.  The ALS is the open version with a rugged axial and radial bearing arrangement coupled to a geared drive motor and a travelling load nut that performs all the motion and force.  The ALSR is the enclosed version, based on the ALS integrated with a thrust tube and cylinder that are hard chrome plated.  Load range of 1,250 kg (2,750 lb) to 10,000 kg (22,000 lb).   They are designed for compression and tension loads, and can be installed in any mounting position.
